Haute Dog
Putting some woof in poufs

Since I have a small apartment, I have a small dog. And since I have a small apartment, I could never own "Woofie, the incredible sausage dog," a modular-seating piece in the shape of a dachshund, the same breed of pooch that dwells in my tiny home.
Tremendously larger than the canine version, Woofie's head and tail segments each are a shade less than 6 feet long, with each pouf segment about a foot and a half tall and round.
The brain puppy of Davy Grosemans, Woofie was a unique way for the Belgian designer to tap into the pouf trend.
"Every furniture editor was putting out poufs on the market - round, square, in any color and fabric. In the end, they all looked the same. I tried to bring a story and some fun to it."
With seven poufs in Grosemans' original design, Woofie can go from Lil' Smokie to extra-long hot dog with a few zips of a zipper - and a room that will accommodate such length. It's constructed of a foam core and upholstered corduroy.
Dachshund and couch fans shouldn't get too excited, though. Designed by Grosemans in 2003, Woofie is a one-off that still awaits manufacturer interested in breeding more.
